Contract Analyst- Kansas City, MO

Position Functions
 

• Evaluate revenue recognition of specified divisions within the company
• Review contracts and interpret financial implications
• Assist in client-initiated project audits, project-specific financial audits, and the annual financial audit for the company
• Apply construction/engineering accounting standards
• Analyze project cost reports including warranty/risks/contingencies 
• Provide recommendations on revenue recognition to project managers and division managers
• Serve as the liaison for resolving all accounting related issues as it pertains to assigned contracts (billing, collections, and accounts payable)
• Attend monthly project-review meetings

 
Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years recent experience in accounting/financial management of contracts
• Experience working in the construction/engineering industry
• Exposure to construction accounting guidance, including SOP 81-1
• Oracle and/or Primavera Expedition experience is a benefit
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• CPA certification is preferred
