Cost and Budget Accounting Supervisor
One of our best clients, a leading medical device manufacturer, is searching for a Cost and Budget Accounting Supervisor for their medical device manufacturing facility.  This position will report directly to the Plant Controller and will be responsible for coordinating, directing and maintaining a budget/cost accounting system.  The supervisor will lead, manage and develop a team of finance professionals.  Lead and coordinate plant-wide efforts in developing the annual operating budget including capital plan, cost reduction targets, standard cost buildups and variances.  Compile budget data and present the information to the leadership team.  Execute monthly finance close process and quarterly finance rolling reforecast process.  Ensure the completion and review of the site balance sheet accounts; prepare and submit annual year-end and tax package schedules; and coordinate completion of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for the plant.
 
The candidate will be qualified by:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices as related to cost calculation and control.
Practice with full absorption costing.
Supervisory experience of accounting personnel.
At least 2 years experience in general accounting
2-5 years experience in manufacturing cost accounting utilizing standard costing methods.
Able to develop problem-solving skills, identify unusual transactions, events or trends in analysis generated.
Experience with SAP a plus
Proficiency in documentation and spreadsheet software packages.
