Job Description
Position Title:   Financial Analyst
Department:    Corporate Finance
Supervisor:      Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis
 
Job Summary:
Responsible for consolidation and analysis of the budget, long range plan and quarterly forecasts.  Responsible for data consolidation and analysis compared to monthly operating results.  Assist in preparation and review of quarterly conference call data. Assist in the preparation of quarterly board of director’s presentation and other investor presentations as necessary. Involved in the review of project authorization requests for capital spending. Involved in special projects as required to support the Corporate Finance group including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other Corporate development activities. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Budget and Forecast
    • Plan and manage the Budget and Forecast timelines
    • Update and distribute the budget and forecast models and supplemental schedules
    • Consolidate and review the budget, long range plan and quarterly forecasts
    • Manage and administer  HFM consolidation system as it relates to budget, forecast and LRP categories
    • Consolidate and ensure integrity of all supplemental data
    • Create and distribute report books related to forecast, budget and quarterly summary data
    • Continually refine, automate and improve budget and forecast process
  • Consolidate and ensure integrity of all data utilized for the quarterly conference call and bank compliance covenant calculations
    • Prepare monthly compliance reporting
  • Presentation Work
    • Assist in creating PowerPoint presentations for investors, BOD, banks, and rating agencies
    • Create and run HFM Smartviews and reports which populate and support the presentations
  • Project Authorization Requests (PAR) related to capital spending
    • Update PAR Log
    • Create financial analysis for PARs
    • Review PARs and send questions to units
  • Financial Modeling
    • Create financial models for various scenarios, as needed
  • Special projects as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Experience with consolidation systems (HFM/Hyperion or equivalent), preferred
  • Experience preparing budgets & forecasts
  • Experience with consolidation accounting
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects; excellent organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint
 
 
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $50k - $60k annual base salary, depending on qualifications & experience
Annual incentive plan: target of 10% of base salary based on company established performance metrics; opportunity to earn 200% of target
Vacation:    ten (10) days annually
Personal days: five (5) days annually
Holidays:    ten days (10) annually
